These Terms govern your use of Volition ("the Service"), a workout-tracking application available at volitiontrainer.com and app.volitiontrainer.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Volition lets you plan and log workouts and, optionally, connect a third-party AI assistant of your choice (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to read your training data and act as a coach. The Service is currently in early access: features may change, break, or be removed, and availability is not guaranteed.
Volition is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. Any content produced in or through the Service — including suggestions generated by an AI assistant you connect — is for informational purposes only. Physical training carries inherent risk of injury. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program, stop if something hurts, and use your own judgment at all times. You assume full responsibility for your training decisions.
If you connect an AI assistant, your use of that assistant is governed by its provider's own terms and privacy policy, not ours. Coaching quality, accuracy, and behavior of a connected assistant are outside our control. Suggestions from an assistant (plans, weights, form feedback) are not reviewed by us and may be wrong — see Section 2.
The Service composes prompts on your behalf — for example when you tap a coach button, it prefills a message in your assistant. You are the sender of every prompt: review prefilled prompts before sending them, edit anything you don't want shared, and remember that whatever you send is processed by your assistant's provider under its own policies.
You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in method and for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, attempt to access others' data, or use the Service unlawfully.
Your training data belongs to you. You can export it at any time from Settings, and you can request account deletion by emailing support@volitiontrainer.com. See the Privacy Policy for details on what we store and how.
Do not attempt to breach, probe, or overload the Service; access another person's data; or use the Service to store unlawful content. Automated access is permitted only through your own authorized AI connector.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Early-access software has bugs; keep your own exports of data you care about.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Volition and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for personal injury arising from training decisions, use of the Service, or content generated by a connected AI assistant. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently $0 in early access).
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
